Cameron McArthur (b. 1997) is a composer and multi-instrumentalist from the North-East of England.
His work as a composer focuses upon the experience of momentum in music, as well as ideas around perception, implication, and expectation. He is a currently completing a PhD in Composition at the University of York, under the tutelage of Thomas Simaku and Martin Suckling.
Recent performances include Twisted Spruce Symposium, Sound Thought Festival, and The Arc Project, and collaboration, include the Diotima Quartet, Ligeti Quartet, Dark Inventions, Desmond Clarke, Lizzie Knatt, Jake Adams, and Lucy Havelock.
Beyond composition, Cameron is an active performer of contemporary and jazz music, Director of Music at yorksound, a music-based people development company, and teaches at secondary and undergraduate level.
